Strömstad High School and Campus Strömstad have a fantastic location with beautiful facilities and purpose-built classrooms. The school is an attractive workplace for approximately 700 students and about 70 staff members.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Are you a driven librarian who wants to develop the high school and adult education library?

You will have primary responsibility for the school library and, together with the school's staff, continue to develop the operations. This is an outgoing role where you, in collaboration with teachers and principals, strive for a reading-promoting environment for students. The reading promotion work, as well as teaching in source criticism and information retrieval, are important parts of the job. You will serve as a pedagogical resource in the school.

In your role, you will contribute to the development of the school library and will be responsible for purchasing and weeding literature to create a relevant collection.

You will belong to the school's organization but will also participate in collegial exchange and collaborate with other librarians.

Desired start date is from the end of April or by agreement, but no later than August 11, 2026.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a degree in Library and Information Science or other education that the employer finds relevant for the position.

We would like you to have a genuine interest in children's and youth literature, good media and information literacy skills, and feel comfortable using digital resources.

As a person, you are outgoing, enjoy independent work, and have good collaboration skills. A very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both spoken and written, is a requirement.
